This song is so unlike many of my other songs. It’s a message from beyond the grave to loved ones caught in the horrible path of its devastation. There is hope! There is a way through it all! There is healing!

Out of having ministered to, counseled many who were either contemplating suicide or someone who lost someone to it’s ugly claws, this song was born. The devastation left behind for family, friends, and acquaintances to have to unexpectedly deal with, is sometimes so overwhelming that it shatters many more lives in its wake. The morning after one such conversation with one of my Lyft riders in San Antonio, Texas, who had recently lost a dear friend to suicide, these lyrics were born, so I walked down to the patio of the hotel with my guitar, wrote them down and added the music.

Changing Lives

Sometimes a praise report can change everything, especially for us today. When we left Atlanta on the 1st, we knew we needed to head west, possibly California to get medical testing for Janiece. When we entered Texas, we got a call to pray for a friend in a coma in San Antonio. Most of you have read that post and prayed with us. This morning we got a call saying our friend is out of ICU, is responsive, has taken the “do not resuscitate” status off, and is saying she knows the Lord still has work for her to do. We are beyond thankful and so honored the Lord would send us to help. We know we weren’t the only ones praying, but I know the words He had me declare over her in that state made a huge difference and you are part of that. Suicide avoided and another dream of His has a chance to be fulfilled along with the rest of us in His Kingdom. This is why we go, even for one. I just wanted to share this to encourage those of you who are praying with us and you who are helping to support us financially. You are so appreciated.

I really felt like I needed to record my new song yesterday and get it out so it could be heard. I really feel like someone’s life might depend on it. I recorded it live here in Oklahoma. It will become the theme song for the tour after I record it at a later date and add full backup instruments and drums.

I don’t care what you’re going through and how hard things seem. There is never an excuse to end your life, in my opinion. There is always hope. I know, I’ve been there too. It was a really bad situation. All seems hopeless in the moment, but trust me, the Lord will eventually help you through, just wait for Him and reach out to those around you if you can. Message me. This is the whole basis for the tour, to Save A Life! We need you. You have a purpose and a great destiny in His Kingdom or the devil wouldn’t be trying so hard to take you out. No race worth running is ever easy, but when you cross that finish line… Blessings… Be encouraged.

So, I was awakened in the early hours of this morning on this last day of 2016 and decided to just talk to the Lord, since I was wide awake anyway. In reality, I think it was He, Who was wanting to talk to me. The time was 2:34 am. He reminded me of a scripture I had been wondering about for a while and then He started telling me about it.
